Extraordinary piece of Mountain Bike history.
A Rocky Mountain Experience with elevated chainstays is a real vintage mountain bike.
In the beginning of the 1990s, Rocky Mountain offered this eyecatching frame in a small time window.

The bike owner decided, over 20 years after production of the frame, that his bike should get converted from a derailleur shifting system towards a Rohloff Speedhub 500/14.
This upgrade was a bit tricky and required an customized adapter to enable the frame to host a Rohloff Speedhub CC axle plate. Because back then, when this frame was designed, the Rohloff Speedhub didn't exist.
