Schmidt's Original Nabendynamo (SON)
SON 28 klassik – of which more than 70,000 pieces have been built since 2000 – is the tried and tested standard hub dynamo of Schmidt Maschinenbau Germany. It conforms to the German legal requirements for dynamos in wheels of sizes 559 (26”) up to 622 (700c) 6 Volt voltage and 3 watt power are achieved at about 15 km/h.
Its sturdy mechanical design makes the SON 28 klassik the first choice for tandems, mountain bikes and especially travelers with heavy load bicycles.
With this high power dynamo hub you are able to supply your Schmidt‘s Edelux LED head light and charge your mobile device at the same time.
We also like this hub very much because it can be opened without the need to disassemble the complete wheel and its standard 6-bolt disc mount.
