Customized Ullmann Magistrale as touring- and trekking bike
After Heikki cycled with his former bicycle frame two long distance tours through Europe, Heikki wanted something new.
He decided to ride the tour 2013 with the Ullmann Magistrale frame and rigid aluminium fork. As the tour 2013 was his first tour without any technical defects at the bike, he used this bike again for his summer ride 2014, 2015 and 2016.
As the Ullmann Magistrale is designed to mount the Rohloff Speedhub with OEM2-axle plate, the long torque arm is not required.
Below you can see the result. After the drop bar in 2011 and the riser bar with triathlon extension in 2012, a butterfly handle bar was wished this time. The Humpert Ergotec comes with a diameter of 22mm where the Rohloff twist shifter fits perfectly. In the middle of this handle bar is again a secure space to locate his smartphone (GPS) while cycling.

We have built his bicycle from the scratch. Heikki had to choose the colour of the frame and the fork. He was looking for an unattractive colour. He was also hoping that the surface will get as dirty as possible to make the bike unattractive to potential thieves. So, he decided for RAL 5024 pastel blue.
During the double powder coating he selected the parts for the final assembling on the bike.
As Heikki is creative, the bicycle has never reached a final assembly. He knows how to keep us busy and he is not tired to experiment with the bike parts.
