If you want us to build a solid wheel for you, then we recommend a rim model amongst the Ryde ANDRA series.
These rims are especially designed to fit large diameter hubs like wheel motor hubs, internal gear hubs, or hub dynamos. We even use Andra rims with Hope or Chris King hubs because the Andra technology allows it.
No matter if you want to use your bike for the daily trip to work and back or you intend to cycle around the globe, our hand-built-to-order wheels with a Ryde ANDRA rim can handle that. It is a piece of cake for the ANDRAs to carry your weekly shopping tours or a huge amount of luggage in your panniers and heavy loaded bicycle trailer. Based on their extensive durability we recommend these rims on mountainbikes as well as freight bicycles.
A hand built Bike-Station-wheel with Ryde ANDRA rim won't let you down.

Wheel geometry has changed drastically as hub flanges have increased in diameter (electric hub motors, hub dynamos, internal gear hubs) and rim profiles have become deeper. Consequently, spokes are shorter and the angle of the spoke between the rim and the hub has increased. the greater tension produced by this new arrangement can lead to a bad spoke/nipple line and a risk of spokes breaking at the rim.

to this problem lies in Ryde Andra rims. Their spoke holes are drilled with a special drill at a radial angle of a maximum of 27 degrees and an axial angle of a maximum of 12 degrees. The base of the rims are reinforced with extra-thick aluminium, enabling a dimple to be attached. This results in a unique advantage that the nipple can work as a ball-and socket joint whereby spoke and nipple adapt theirselves automatically on the direction of the spoke in order to reach a perfect spoke/nipple line. This application creates extremely safe wheel structures, which is an benefit when taking the shorter distance between the hub and the rim into account.
Ryde Andra rims permit perfect front- and rear wheels without any risk of the spokes bending or snapping at the rim.

If you really want to cycle in peace for a very very long time or want a better braking power with rim brakes - then you want to invest in Ryde ANDRA CSS rims!
Why? - Here you get the answers:
Attention: Special brake blocks are required when riding with ANDRA CSS rims!

Technical description of Rigida/Ryde CSS technology
CSS stands for Carbide Supersonic System.
This system ensures optimum braking on wet road surfaces and reduces the wear and tear caused by road grit in winter conditions. The carbide powder used consists of a precision granulate that is manufactured specially for this application. It prevents water from permeating the braking surface, which would otherwise damage the rim and reduce the grip.
The braking surface with carbide must always come within the parallelism standard of < 0.08 mm measured across the whole braking surface of the rim.
More details? ->
The carbide powder is fired at the rim in a plasma jet at 5 times the speed of sound. At this speed of impact, it fuses with the aluminium. It is also a technical process used in the aircraft industry. By this process the small parts become part of the surface and will not come off from the rim by damaging the rim and it gives optimal brake force especially during wet circumstances.
