Operating Ranges
The Magistrale represents a lightweight and a solid basis for a stable 28“ bicycle, suitable for daily use.
The main operating ranges of this frame are sport, city and tours. You can use the Magistrale for the long trip along the Adriatic coast (that's where the name comes from - Jadranska Magistrala) or as a city bike for everyday transactions. It is also a sporty fitness/hybride bicycle to whizz over sandy roads. You can enjoy the Magistrale during all 4 seasons and it feels like home wherever you are. It doesn't matter whether it is the romantic Scandinavian winter or the magnificent Mediterranean summer.
Hints and Tips
- Ullmann Magistrale S-bended rear stay with IS disc brake- and rim brake- mount.
Even though the Magistrale-frame is designed to be used with Shimano or SRAM internal gear hubs, we prefer to see our frames geared with Rohloff Speedhub instead. Reliable SON/Herrmans-electric, Rigida/Ryde Andra rims, hydraulic brakes and - if needed/possible - robust rigid fork are the ideal choices. With the named components you can get a perfect bicycle with high stability and low maintainance.
If you have in mind to cycle also during the winter time, you should concider mounting hydraulic disc brakes. This way you prevent the sidewalls of the rims of glaciating. Who cycles outside of the "ice age", can use the proven combination of Magura HS33 rim brakes and Ryde Andra CSS rims.
The Magistrale, which is build in a Spartan way as hybrid- or fitness-bike and assembled with Hope or Tune bike parts, results a lightweight, agile and fast racer.
If you need the Magistrale as a touring- or trekking bike for daily use, you can attach fenders and a stable Pletscher stand. To carry the load you can mount a solid Tubus carrier. Our rigid fork is also prepared to attach a lowrider.

The Frame
The high quality 28“ Magistrale-frame is made out of triple butted 6061 aluminium tubes, which are double welded. The rear stay is particularly strong, as the seat stay and the chain stay are S-bended and the dropouts are 3D CNC milled. The head tube is designed to host a semi integrated headset. The transitions between the top- and lower tube and the head tube are reinforced with additional gussets. The frame is equipped with a disc brake mount (international standard) and sockets for rim brakes. The Magistrale rear stay is designed to fit with brake discs up to max. 160mm and for tires up to 47mm width. Even though the frame weighs only approx. 1.990 grams (middle size - 51cm, incl. eccentric bottom bracket and two layers of powder coating), we give the frame free for a maximum payload up to 130kg.

Magistrale Trekking
