Heikki Siivari seems to be used to get pictured by the press.
We met Heikki Siivari on Sunday, one day before he started his summer tour 2012. Also local newspaper was present to catch the latest pictures.
The local Sata-Häme Soi stage in the town park of Ikaalinen was therefore occupied. Heikki seems to have experience with newspapers as he was very relaxed and patient. Wondering in our minds how he can be so calm before that extraordinary long trip with as less equipment as possible, we did not want to tease him with too many questions - even if we would have wanted.
Heikki still had to finish packing before his start, so we let him go, wishing him all the luck and nice time on his tour. He planned to start pedaling at 7-8 a.m. on Monday morning, June 4th , 2012.
We hope to hear and be able to tell you more details about his first days as soon as possible.
And until then, we wish him the best time ever on the bicycle!
