Heikki Siivari is on the road again - summer tour 2013

Heikki is ready to go.

Heikki set off on his 2013 cycling tour on 21st of May leaving Ikaalinen (in South-West of Finland) behind him heading in the direction of Tallinn. 

With luck his tour will go as according to plan which will take Heikki through multiple countries covering between 15,000 and 25,000km before 10th of September 2013. The exact route is not yet defined and will strongly depend upon both the weather and other conditions en-route but the rough plan at present is to cycle through various Baltic countries, Eastern Europe, the Balkans and Bosporus. From there he will follow the Adriatic coastline North-West towards France. 

Heikki hopes to arrive in France in good time to allow him a short detour to Spain (possibly Morocco too) and back. From there he plans to take a ferry to the U.K. and Ireland and onward later by ship to Iceland and Norway. Heikki intends to continue his cycle expedition from Norway on to Lapland before finally returning home to Ikaalinen. 

Heikki is currently supported by the 'Rohloff AG' (Germany), 'Humpert GmbH' (Germany), 'Uimonen Oy' (Finland), 'Ullmann doo' (Croatia) and us - the 'Bike Station' in Finland.
