Rohloff product news and modifications for 2014

Rohloff AG comes in 2014 with new products and presents small product changes.
- Silver Rohloff Speedhubs are anodised. Since October 2013 all Rohloff Speedhubs come with anodised hub bodies. The polished internal gear hubs are history now. The article numbers remain the same.
- The right Rohloff Speedhub twist shifter light (art.no. 8190) gets a new designed grip. All hubs delivered from January/February 2014 on will come with this improved grip design.
- Sometimes it is necessary to guide the cable hose from the twist shifter in a special angle along the handle bar towards the bicycle frame. Till now you might have used e.g. Shimano V-brake cable guides. From now on you don't need to purchase those anymore. Every originally boxed Rohloff Speedhub comes now with 2 of those special guides which already include a sealed cable ferrule. These cable guides are called "Super Noodle Set" and can be ordered separately as 2-pack with the article number "8269".
- The bayonet connectors of the internal shifting mechanism will get modified. They will be changed in the running series and available during the year 2014.
- There is also a new adapter for the OEM2 axleplate available. This new OEM2 adapter is designed to be used with the M5 luggage rack mount. The art.no. of this special adapter is "8552". This adapter can be used with any bicycle frame where the luggage rack mount to axle distance is 39.9mm. This is identical to the lower bolt position of the IS2000 disc brake mount and the material between both anchoring points is plan.
- New in the product range is a reversable 21 tooth sprocket. Other than the 13, 15, 16 and 17 tooth sprockets, this 21 tooth sprocket is manufactured only in small quantities. Therefore the price is appropriately higher.
This ultra large Rohloff Speedhub sprocket has the article number "8223".
