Schmidt product news for 2014
The innovative bicycle component manufacturer Schmidt Maschinenbau comes with more highlights for the season 2014.
In brief:
- SON 28 and SON Edelux are now available with silver anodised finish. This makes Rohloff and Schmidt in combination a nice optical team.
- SON 28 hub dynamo with 15mm axle is now available in more versions (spoke holes and colours).
- the famous SON 28 klassik will still be made with 40 and 48 spoke holes for rim brake use only and preferable in tandems.
- The product range of hub dynamos for trikes and recumbent bicycles is bigger then ever.
- Schmidt provides now a collection of hand build wheels for Birdy, Brompton, Dahon, Tern, Tikit...
Next to the small modifications, Schmidt has some further novelties.
The new SON 28 is from now on available for Fatbikes, too. This new hub dynamo is called SON 28 135 disc and is available with 6-hole brake disc mount and 135mm axle width.
Another highlight is the new dynamo powered Edelux II headlight. In comparison with his older brother Edelux, the Edelux II is 30% more powerful, comes with a wider beam and even illumination.
