We’re stocking the RYDE Andra 30 rims only with Carbide Super Sonic side walls (CSS technology). These are the first choice for bicycles with rim brake usage.

For heavy duty use.
The Andra 30 is one of the most used rims on travel bikes. And for a reason! This rims holds its own when the conditions get really tough. Loads of luggage? No problem for the Andra 30. With the CSS layer, the life span quadruples at least!

The small financial upcharge pays itself off. There is no need to replaced the rim every 7-20.000km. The repeating purchase of new rims, spokes and nipples can be overjumped as well as the costs of repeating wheel building services.

Attention: For this particular CSS technology special rim brake blocks are recommended!

During winter 2011/12 I've build a new wheelset for Heikki Siivari with these rims. He used these wheels also on his 5 summer tours: 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. During this time the wheels were rolling through all European climate zones.
Since back then he rode with his Andra 30 CSS rims over 70.000km -> and he uses them "merciless"! But his rims are still fine and will last some more rides and demanding kilometers to come.
